Our on-going exhibition Speedway is accompanied by a beautiful and particular video work by Martina Hoogland Ivanow named Annelise Frankfurt (1926-2007). Annelise Frankfurt was a dancer and doll maker who fled the occupation of Austria in 1938 and lived an extraordinary life in Sweden. A film of 7,30 minutes with Hoogland Ivanow’s marvellous way of mastering the darkness. Last day is March 22.

In the art book 2140, released in January, Absolut Vodka is publishing 16 works from the series Apsis by our artist Henrik Isaksson Garnell, born 1987. Parts of the series Apsis were exhibited in our gallery in 2011. Isaksson Garnell´s first own book Dissonance, with essays by Bill Kouwenhoven and Celina Lunsford, is going to be published by the Kehrer Verlag later this year along with his second solo show in our gallery.

The next opening in Berlin will be on March 28, From Back Home by JH Engström. In his collection JH Engström traced his childhood memories back to the province of Värmland, in the west of Sweden. Together with his friend, the internationally acclaimed photographer Anders Petersen, Engström revisited his native land to pay tribute to the people, light and landscapes. A separate invitation will be sent.
